Vintage Kienzle Travel Clock Set In A Metal Jewellery / Cigar Case

This is a lovely Vintage Kienzle Travel Clock Set In A Metal Jewellery / Cigar Case. The metal case is covered with a thin dark blue leather effect veneer, the inside has been covered with wood effect plastic typical of the 1960s/70s.

Approximate Size (WHD): 20 x 7 x 13 cm 

In fairly good condition, it does have a few surface blemishes in the veneer and there are a few surface scratches on the clock glass. Unfortunately, the winder knob for setting alarm time is missing. The clock is working but I'm not sure how good it is at time keeping.

The travel alarm clock was manufactured by Germany's oldest watchmaker, Kienzle Uhren GmbH, founded in 1822 in Schwennigen.

I'm not sure what would have been kept in the box, I suspect cigars as the box is metal. It would make an unusual jewellery box or desk tidy as long as you are not relying on the clock to wake you up in the morning!
